““Alexander's new work combines traditional painterly and sculptural practice with surprising fluidity. A seamless fusion of paint and bronze would be physically impossible, but these works propose that the mind and eye can comprehend such an unlikely hybrid”
Peter Frank (American art critic)
Alexander is best known for his monumental sculptures The Great Tower, a 30-foot high bronze at Rutland Water and Jubilee Oracle, a sculpture on London’s South Bank commissioned to celebrate the Queen’s Silver Jubilee. Alexander has had major retrospective exhibitions in art museums in four countries and his works are in public and private collections around the globe. Theatre and Instant are works of a new form which incorporate Alexander’s passion for both painting and sculpture – unique bronze sculptures are juxtaposed on a painted canvas to novel and engaging effect.
