My work focuses on a process of simultaneously additive and subtractive mark making, the erasure and revelation of a surface and the physical nature of the materials worked with.
Using plywood panels and a high speed, rotating cutting tool called a router I draw into the surface of the wood. In using marks of alternating shape and depth I am able to explore the balance between creation and destruction.
